According to News 1 and Newsis, the Uijeongbu District Court's 4-2 Criminal Department (Chief Judge Kim Seok-soo) sentenced Jeong Soo-geun, who was indicted on charges of special injury and drunk driving, to two years in prison as the original trial.

Jung Soo-geun is accused of assaulting and injuring his head with a beer bottle when he was rejected by A, who he first met through an acquaintance at a bar in Namyangju City on December 21, 2023. After the incident, Jung Soo-geun contacted A and expressed his apology, but the victim reportedly wanted punishment.

Since then, Jeong was caught drunk driving in September last year when he was on trial for the incident, and the charges were added. At that time, his blood alcohol level was reportedly 0.064 percent.

Jeong Su-geun, who was sentenced to a fine or suspended prison sentence for drunk driving in 2004, 2010, and 2016, was sentenced to another two years in prison and three years of probation for drunk and unlicensed driving in June 2021.
